- Wonderful bag. Check lead time before ordering...
I received this as a Christmas gift in 2015. I've used it for a year and must say that it's great. This leather looks great when you first receive it, and even better with use. Speaking of the leather, it is very thick and strong. I haven't really used it to carry a pistol in, as my place of employment doesn't permit firearms. However, I've used it to transport documents to and from work, my lunch, clothes, etc for weekend trips. It's a great bag. Other bags of this quality are marked up to no end...well over 400 or 500 dollars. Just one quick note...if you are going to be ordering it around Christmas time, I suggest calling the NRA store. My father ordered mine in December 2015 and I didn't receive it until February 2016. These are handmade and are not mass produced.

- Money well spent
Outstanding craftsmanship and built to last a lifetime..!!
I was looking for a briefcase that was functional with a certain character and rustic charm. This case captured exactly what I was looking for. This is not a cheap import of questionable materials. After searching pages of offerings at considerably higher prices I'm amazed this case comes at a price point below $350.00.
I usually don't write reviews however thi

For a briefcase I love it! The quality and craftsmanship is what I expected and paid for. The top zipper is difficult to open but use and some oil should resolve that. My only real complaint is regarding what I actually bought the case for: concealment. I have large hands so it is difficult to grip the gun and draw as easily as I hoped. Tried first with Walther PPX and then wife's Ruger SR22. Biggest complaint or recommendation is the Velcro attachment (holster). There should be a leather strap or something to attach my Vedder holsters in the concealment pocket. This alone would set this bag over anything else on the market. Velcro is a great invention but love my Vedder holsters and want them paired with my guns for a reason.
Suggestions aside, I have no intentions to return this case but will probably customize my briefcase to do as I desire. Wish NRA would pay me for my ideas for a future design.
