These are great and I absolutely love them!!!!! I have had several sets of electronic ear protection devices; however they have either had bulky over the head bands or bands that sit on your neck all day. Eventually that gets old in my opinion. I generally like wearing a boonie hat while on the range; however the over the head band causes issues because the hat has to be oversized and I end up resorting to a cap when the boonie hat protects against flying brass much better than a cap and then the wind blows the boonie hat off. Not good for me. When I saw these, I could not wait to get a chance to wear them. I did not realize how sensitive they are to ambient sound, so I cannot wait until hunting season to get to use them. I am very comfortable using the ear buds because that is the same setup I use while running. I did make a note though about the ear plugs that came in addition to the ear buds. I had those on initially and when guns go boom, especially multiple guns, they do not work at all. I might as well have not had any ear protection at all. Once I switched over to the ear buds, life improved tremendously. Thank you very much for bringing this item to the table.

I've had them for a few weeks now and love them. I used them for a cowboy shoot and they worked very well. It took me a few minutes to get used to hearing more than I was used to due to the amplified sound, but they blocked all the loud noises better than any amplified muff set I've had thus far.
In the past two days I used them for bird hunting and sporting clays. In both cases they performed admirably. Most of the people I hunt with don't use hearing protection at all, saying they want to be able to hear whatever they are hunting. My response was that I could hear better with these than they could with their bare ears, while protecting my ears at the same time.
As for sporting clays, they were comfortable and offered great protection. In fact, one trapper commented on how loud my gun was (I was using some pumped up home loads). I didn't even realize it because the plugs cut off the loud sound very well. Nice job Axil!

I used them for the first time at a cowboy shoot this weekend. They are comfortable and well built. It took some getting used to, however. At first I thought they weren't working well and letting in too much noise. I then realized that the noise levels were not too loud, rather I was hearing many more things from much further away due to how sensitive they are. It was great. I found that I was no longer shouting to talk to other people because I could hear myself very clearly.
Before taking them to the range, I tested them simply by wearing one night while out walking the dogs with my wife. It was a very strange experience as even on the lowest volume setting I was hearing cars from a street across the river like they were right behind me. Once, I even turned around to see if there was one coming only to realize it was on the other street. I plan to use them for pheasant hunting as they are much more compact than the current ear muffs I use. I have to imagine that they will enable me to hear the birds and location of my dog much better than last year.
One item of note- make sure you tuck the cord under you collar as much as possible if using a long gun. Twice I hit it while using my shotgun during this weekend's cowboy shoot and knocked it out of my ear just as the gun was going off. I don't blame the earplug. I simply had it on wrong. Once I figured that out, it was good to go.
I like these very much and hope to get many years of good use out of them. I can see them being very useful while teaching pistol class so that I can hear my students much better than before.

- Love them!
I absolutely love these. I have had mine for two months now, they are the best ear pro I have ever used. Noise reduction is superb. The hearing enhancement is also really really good. I have no negatives to report.
